Shared Apartment: A New Program for After Homestay
After an initial four-week homestay, from Fall semester 2006, students in our academic-year and twenty-week-semester programs at BLCU will be able to move into a shared apartment. This new program will be of special interests to students who have a husband or wife visiting during their stay in China. Students who make this special arrangement will not lose their opportunity to interact with their Lotus homestay families. We encourage continuation of friendships formed during the first four weeks’ stay.
The apartments are located 10-30 min. walking distance from BLCU campus. Each apartment has two or three bedrooms and is fully equipped. The convenient living facilities include TV, refrigerator, microwave, washing machine, air conditioning, Internet access and Western style toilets. There is twenty-four hour hot water. Bedrooms are fully furnished with bed, desk, and wardrobe or closet.
Please note that meals are not included under this arrangement. Bills for water, power, gas, and housekeeper are shared between roommates in the apartments. Roommates may be Lotus students or local Chinese people.
If you wish to take part in this part of the Lotus program, please specify on the online application form. This arrangement must be made at time of initial application. |
